get it.It's not a 'bible' but is a very useful perspective and the links alone are worth the low cost of the book.
Excellent book. Well worth the nominal cost, and loaded with valuable information to get you started in writing a mystery novel.
Well written. A lot of really good information. Provides many additional sites and options you can use to get even more information. The author did people a real favor by writing the book.
I was a little disappointed with this one. First of all, it's not terribly dense. I was able to read the entirety in about an hour. I was hoping for something much more in depth.
Also, I was expecting something with a little more of the nuts and bolts of crafting such a story, whereas this seems more like a high level overview. There really just wasn't enough of what I was hoping for within the book.
There were so many errors in the first three pages I got a refund.
From the very first sentence of the book "If you have picked up this book, then chances are your interested..." "You're", not "your".
Then soon after, "From there the Jeffrey covers techniques..." The Jeffrey?
On the following page "...and you find some great tools an resources" .. "and" not "an".
At this point I hadn't been reading for even five minutes and this kind of quality is definitely not going to instruct me on how to write.
